INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons light corn syrup

CAKE
  • 1 box of your favorite yellow cake mix, prepared; OR your favorite two-layer yellow cake recipe, prepared
  • 3 cups fruitcake fruits (or your favorite dried/candied fruits)
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts, optional

INSTRUCTIONS
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease and line two nine" spherical baking pans with parchment. Set aside.
  2. In a medium-sized saucepan, combine the butter, brown sugar, corn syrup, and spices. prepare dinner slowly over low warmth till the butter is melted, the combination is easy, and you do not experience the grit of sugar on the bottom of the pan.
